My first online course is finished! I’m excited to share it with you!

People often tell me that tempering is either difficult or intimidating. I used to feel the same way. But now I love tempering! I called this course “Chocolate Tempering Zen,” since I now find tempering to be a meditation, pleasant and calm. I honestly look forward to this step. I want to help you turn tempering angst into ease.
Most of you know me or have met me in person. You know how enthusiastic I am to talk and teach about cacao and chocolate. I teach this tempering method my book. I decided to make this class, since many people told me they prefer to learn by watching videos than by reading text.
The mini-course covers:
basics of tempering chocolate using the easy and reliable (and kind of magical) cocoa butter seed (aka silk, creamy cocoa butter) method
principles behind tempered chocolate, because knowing what’s going on at a molecular level will allow you to take shortcuts and troubleshoot
tips for tempering in hot & humid conditions, like my kitchen in Hawai'i
tempering demos
fun extras, including experiments to explore flavor or understand the relationship of chocolate and water
You can see the complete curriculum here.
The course is short—you could finish it in a day—and I’ve priced it like a one-day workshop. But it’s better than an in-person class, since you can do it anytime and at your own speed, you don’t have to travel, you have a great view of the demonstrations, and you can refer back to the material at any time. There is no time limit.
This is the perfect time to learn tempering skills! The weather is getting cooler, and you can make perfectly tempered confections for the fall and winter holidays!
I’ve read that to properly launch my class, I’m supposed to set up a fancy sales funnel. I really don’t want to do that. I’ve been funneled myself, and yeah I’ll admit that it has worked on me as a purchaser, but setting one up just feels not fun. I’m much rather be making bonbons! So if you are interested, I hope you will go ahead and grab it, or ask me questions, or tell me you are interested but busy and you’d like to be reminded later. I do not plan to bombard you with emails about it.
